HOW IT WORKS: ILC METHOD & PROCESS INFORMATION

-    CLA contract (ILC Organizer & facilitator).
-    Receive the Artifact from CLA (receive in your system “same as your customer unit”).
-    Complete the testing per instructions.
-    Submit the completed data (we recommend issuing a calibration certificate per your laboratory procedure “same as your customer unit” with expanded uncertainty values).
-    Return the Artifact to CLA along with calibration certificate.
-    CLA reviews the data & issue the final report.

ILC – GUARANTEED LOWEST PRICE (ILC-GLP)

CAL LAB ACCESS, LLC guarantees the lowest price for Inter-Laboratory Comparison in the USA. This applies to the “CLA Artifact” that will be sent to participating laboratory for ILC-PT participation purposes only, other terms and conditions apply.

RUSH INTER-LABORATORY COMPARISON PROFICIENCY TESTING (ILC-PT)

Available at an additional cost (please contact us to schedule RUSH ILC-PT).

ILC PROCEDURE INFROMATION

CLA will send you the ILC-PT work instructions along with the “Artifact” to be followed for data collection and for any special instructions and/or precautions will be defined clearly in the associated work instructions.

Participating Laboratory may use their established and/or developed calibration methods / work instructions to setup and operate the laboratory standards.

CALIBRATION STANDARDS & TEST POINTS

ILC-PT participating laboratories use the Standards that are part of their scope of accreditation. CLA will have the right to re-confirm and re-verify the Standards used in ILC-PT testing is part of participating laboratory’s scope of accreditation.

Test Points:

Work Instructions of each ILC -PT defines the required test points with any special settings to achieve them.

TURNAROUND TIME

Each participating laboratory will have five (5) working days to complete the ILC testing from the date they receive the ARTIFACT. CLA will monitor the tracking of the ARTIFACT.

DOCUMENTATION & TRACEABILITY

Each ILC-PT participating laboratory is required to issue the calibration certificate with measurement data for the ARTIFACT they receive as part of the ILC-PT program with expanded uncertainties using a coverage factor (k=2) for a confidence level of 95 %.

Measurement data must be traceable to SI Units through National Metrology Institutes (NMIs), such as NIST USA, NRC Canada, etc. Reported expanded uncertainties must also be in the same units as measurements.

Measurement Data (As Found & As Left):

As part of the ILC-PT program, CLA requests that each participating laboratory to NOT make any repairs and / or adjustments to the ARTIFACT.

RECEIVING & SHIPPING THE ARTIFACT

Receiving process:

Participating laboratory will be responsible to inspect the “ARTIFACT” as soon as it delivers to their laboratory. If the package received is damaged, take the pictures of the package and send them to CLA on the same day for investigation and escalation purposes.

Shipping process:

It is the responsibility of the participating laboratory to package the ARTIFACT in the same manner as it was received and to protect it.

Complete package (including accessories) must be returned to CLA address on their shipping account.

ARTIFACT PARTS REPLACEMENT

CLA inspects and verifies each ARTIFACT prior to shipping it to each participating laboratory.

If you replace batteries, fuses, battery connectors, and other replacement parts you must notify CLA in writing for traceability and data integrity purposes.
