What is AS9100?
International Quality Management System standard for aerospace and defense industry (AS9100). Latest revision of this standard is Rev D released in 2016.

Who Created this AS9100?
This is a SAE document and supported by International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG)

Details:
This standard provides guidance with requirements to develop a quality management system to suppliers of Aviation and Space Industry (ASD) to provide reliable, safe products. Any organization can implement and become AS9100 Rev D registered company to support their core business and / or to meet their customer requirements. AS9100 standard includes the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 plus IAQG requirements, when you implement AS9100 quality management system that means you’re automatically complying with ISO 9001:2015.

Types of ASD Standards:
AS9100 – for those who design, develop or manufacture
AS9110 – for those who provide services on Aircraft Maintenance Organizations
AS9120 – for those who distribute of components such as tools, spare parts, hardware and electronics components.
